dash tray to oem nav
i have the oem nav unit in a 2006. the unit is from a 2007 truck and shows "line-in" when you hit the aux button. i purchased a tray with the input in the corner and i have the plug for the tray. from what i see, i can wire the tray direct into the 6,7,8,14 plugs on the back of the stereo harness as they are aux audio inputs and grounds. is this correct? or am i wishful thinking?
edit: radio does not have "aux" button, just says "line-in" on display and when pressed, says :"entertainment system enabled"
radio is 7L3T-18K931-DB
tray is 7L3Z-15042A82-AA

Do a search for a user named "Nothingbutaford" his name is Mark, I dealt with him several years ago and he was very knowledgeable in these sorts of things. I was trying to get a cable to go from the aux tray to the nav unit, and he was working on a harness, but I lost contact with him and just went another route. If you can get a hold of him, I am sure he can help you out. Good luck.
