I did a few searches online and can't figure out how to make a Playlist using a portable hard drive and a Macbook. Yes I have a ipod but I want to be able to use my 250 external hard drive(I currently use it in the F150) and have playlists on it that SYNC can recognize. This way I can find stuff faster. Thanks in advance

I don't have a Mac, so this is a complete WAG.

Try MP3Tag (free software) in a virtual Windows mode on your Mac. Make sure you create the playlists based on the HDD directory structure.
