Just wondering if anyone can help me out??? I realized yesterday that the voice activation on my phone system in my truck isn't working? I can still use my phone through the system by dialing it manually, but I can't get the voice activation to work. I've looked through the SYNC manual, but I can't figure if I've turned something off or if there is a problem with the system. Any help would be great...thanks!!!

 

Do you have SYNC only, or SYNC and navigation.

 

Your mic may have taken a crap, but I can't tell from the information you gave.

Do any of the voice commands work? If some do and some don't, try pulling the Sync fuse for 2-3 minutes. If no joy, try a master reset and make sure you delete Sync from your phone too (before re-pairing).

If none work, time to head to the dealer.

 

Just SYNC...no nav. I cannot get any of the voice commands to work. Sorry I'm not too savvy when it comes to my SYNC system!! How would I do a master reset? Thanks for the help guys...

 

Pull the fuse first, then try the master reset (which is described in your owner's manual).

 

Ok...so I feel like that guy who has been looking for his glasses for the past 6 hours and finally realizes he's got them on top of his head!!! I finally realized that I was holding the voice activation button down and not just pushing it and quickly releasing it!! So basically I feel like an idiot...but thank you guys for all the help!
