Navitouch???

I was searching Ebay for a ford navigation head unit when I came across the Navitouch. Has anyone heard anything on this? Take a look and tell me what you think. http://cgi.ebay.ca/Ford-F150-Edge-Es...item4aa10a5016

ok i'll chime in on it. looks neat as hell especially the fact that it has the ford logo built into it already. 700 bones is not a bad price either for a system like that either. just can't say that i've heard of it though.

Yeah that was my thought as well. $700.00 is a good price for all the stuff it could do. But still a lot of money if it breaks after the 7 day warranty. Anyone else I'm still on the fence with one.

FORD GPS Navigation Entertainment System

Am also interested in fiding out more. I have a 2008 F150 FX4, and was interested in brandmotion products but seems like they have gone south! No more nav, bluetooth, hands free. If this can do all that, including DVD that would be great. I am wondering though, can you hook up external headrest monitors, does it work with factory controls on steering wheel? and what about satellite? Anybody know?

Thanks

It says you can watch a dvd on headrest monitors while using navigation on head unit. It shows all hook ups in one picture and there is lots. I'm not sure about factory dvd hook ups. It says it will work with factory controls on steering wheel. It says nothing about satellite which surprises me. Again there are lots of hook ups in the back maybe you can use the AUX in or something like that. But i think you still need the external satellite radio tuner. I also reread the info and there is a 1 year warranty against defects only. It uses IGO for navigation maps, not sure how good that is. I'm kinda leaning toward the purchase now.

I spoke to them, and they said they would sell me one outside of Ebay for $629.00. Mention you saw it on this site. I asked about the satellite, they said the aux is rca inputs, so am not sure if this will work with the sat that comes with the F150 (which is also aux input). Let me know if you buy one, and how it turns out, am also interested, but not quite ready to pull the trigger.

I purchased this last week.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

UPS is delivering it today. Will let you know how it is. Considered the one you are looking at, but this has a bigger screen and the same features but costs a lot less.

Did you buy it before you read this thread? I wounder what the difference between the two are, and why it's so much cheaper.

DO NOT BUY!!! Interface is nice, but system is sloppily pieced together. No AM radio. FM tuner reception is horrible. NAV is full of errors, etc. Sending mine back.

Beware of some Navi radios

There are many navi radios with different face plates that use the same PC Board and chassis with that software.

After a couple of weeks of research I decided that the ES952G had the best specs for my needs. I thought I would take a chance in good faith.
http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/28...io_in_GPS.html
They valued it at $68 on the import sheet with the rest being shipping. Purchase price was $288 CAD delivered.

I had an ES952G that started failing within one month and I did not purchase from eBay but here are some auctions for your reference.
ie http://shop.ebay.ca/?_from=R40&_trksid=m570&_nkw=es952g

Other units have a fixed screen that have micro SD and SD card slots in the faceplate. The Windows CE 5.0 only displays 8.3 file names so reading the song titles becomes a guessing game. IE ffffffff.eee

The Nav N Go iGO 8 navigation software included is from www.navngo.com http://www.navngo.com/pages/global/e..._8_description It is not bad but it is not equal to Tom Tom or Garmin software. It is hard to input your own favorite addresses.

Also take a look at what the actual screen resolution is. Most are as little as 480 x 234. These are blurry!! If it does not say that the resolution is at least 800 x 600 then keep looking

-Bluetooth 2.0 (worked),
-GPS (worked),
-Rear camera input that had a standard connector (worked),
-AM/FM radio (failed),
-CD player (did not work),
-DVD player (worked),
-SD Card slot for MP3's (worked),
-TV(worked),
-2 DIN size (2001 F150 dash needs to be cut out as it is has only a 1.75 DIN opening),
-Antenna inputs (labeled wrong)
-PIP (pain in the a$$ to turn off every time you go into GPS mode)
-and the dimmer circuit they use does not really work in my 2K1 F150!

If you want more information, please PM me.

I have now returned it RMA for warranty repair at a postal cost of $49.27 and a 4-5 week deliver time. The post office wanted $92 to be delivered in 2-3 weeks.

I took the chance. Now you can learn by my mistake!

Save your money and get a brand name unit. It will save you money in the long run!!

Yeah they do look nice, but 2 members have had some big problems with them. So until I hear some positive info with them I'm staying away.

I bought one last week and just installed it. Greeeeaaaat radio! Bluetooth, DVD, GPS, Radio... everything works perfectly! I can't believe I got this unit with only $687! ($659+$28shipping) I'd strongly recommend this unit.
