Good DD DVD???

Im looking at getting a double din DVD player for my 2004. I want something that has the AUX/MP3 jack in the front and that would still allow me to add an overhead DVD screen for the back seat at a later date. Any recommendations???

What about the AVH-P4200DVD ? I like the full 7inch screen. Anyone have this?

I'm partail to kenwood myself, have been for about 25 years, ever since I bought my first kenwood hu. Anyway if you only want just dvd look at the kenwood DDX-7xx and up series as they have a motorized 7" touchscreen. If you want a dvd/nav combo look at the DNX-7xxx and up, they also have a 7" touchscreen. I have an older (08 model) DNX-7120 in my 07.

Hey AZ, I've been partial to JVC for the last 12 years and love my KW-NX 7000, full 7" screen, does everything I want it to. You can't go wrong with Pioneer or Kenwood either, though a little more $$$ for those than the JCV. Here's a pic and there's more in my albums:

A nice plus about this unit is the faceplate is detachable

I have the 4100 and love it. If you get a 7" screen you will most likely lose the aux input on the front. I personally wanted as much screen as possible and wanted to hide my usb/ipod cable. I think it looks a little silly with the input slot or cables hanging out of the dash.

As long as i can hook up my mp3 SOMEWHERE thats fine. I have always liked kenwood myself too, but im sure that pioneer, kenwood and alpine are about the best right? I think I have also nailed down a replacement speaker choice to some infinitys.

I was in a bind like you a few months back I was looking at the Pioneer 4200 or the Alpine INA-W900. Went with the Alpine over the Pioneer because it comes with Nav and I thought it was a lot easier to operate. Sounds great and has Nav prompts while your on the Ipod screen- It's a very innovative piece.

So when you say it comes with NAV that means its NAV capable and u have to pay for something else? Or it has NAV right out of the box with no additional cost.

Yeah dude its well worth it. I never thought I would use the Nav but it really comes in handy. It even lists phone numbers to most places so when your on your way to dinner you can call and see how busy it is- or when your going to a store to make sure they have the item your looking for. The picture quality is crystal clear, I play movies right off my iPod touch and its like watching my HDTV at home!
