Bluetooth, Reverse Camera, iPod, Oh My!
Hi all,
I have a few questions regarding the factory navigation in a 2007 F-150. Here we go:
1. Does it have Bluetooth? I'm thinking 'No'. If not, is there a good integration unit out there that shows caller ID on the nav. unit, mutes the music, and uses the factory audio system for the call sound?
2. Is there a good reverse camera that integrates well with the factory navigation, as well as shows the 'yellow guide lines'? Is there an actual factory camera that can be easily added to the factory navigation, or do I have to go aftermarket?
3. Is there an iPod integration unit that will allow full control of the iPod through the touchscreen of the nav. unit? Is there something that will display the title/artist name etc. on the navigation screen?
Anyway, anyone feel free to chime in here. I realize that these topics may be covered somewhere else, but I've searched, and can't seem to find the right words to find the results I'm looking for.
Thanks!

I have been looking and have ther same issues. My 07 Lariat has the Nav with Sub Woofer (Audiophile). I have not found any Bluetooth that intergrates and shows on the Nav screen. One intergrates, but is voice only no video. I also have not found a reverse camera that will intergrate.
Good Luck, I will be watching.

There is a company that makes an add in module that allows a video input onto the factory nav systems, either a dvd player or a backup cam or both. Drawback is its not cheap and you also have to send them your factory nav unit so it can be modified to work with the module.

You can buy an ipod adapter that works with the factory systems but I don't think one exists that will show images on the factory screen, just text.
There is a handsfree kit available thru ford accessories that will integrate bluetooth into the factory systems, very spendy.
By the time you buy all the extra stuff mentioned above, you can just dump the factory system for an aftermarket unit. An aftermarket unit will provide a lot more features than the factory unit, and if you add all the stuff to your stock nav, you'll never be happy with it. I had an ipod interface on my factory audiophile system and it took forever to find what I wanted to hear, and it was clumsy to operate. I eventually gave up and bought a Kenwood DNX-7120, it has DVD, garmin nav, 7" touchscreen, and you can add on bluetooth, ipod, sattelite radio, HD radio, and TV. The unit only cost me 8 bills from crutchfield.

Yeah, I put an Avic D3 in my VW Jetta, and it's nice...just a lot of add-ons to get the steering wheel controls to work, and a lot of research to find all the right wires to get the steering wheel controls to work. Still, I may have to consider it. Do you know of any cameras (aftermarket) that show the yellow 'drive lines' when backing up?
