In my work vehicle I have a laptop for which I was given a Delorme GPS program that works great. What I would like to do is get something (GPS, display screen, etc.) that is dash/windshield mountable (unlike a laptop) that will allow me to install/use the same Delorme software I have and allow me to view a backup camera image. So basically, a GPS that will let me use my software with a video input for the camera. I know a new Nav capable HU with the backup cam capability would be ideal however I'm looking for other less expensive options at this point. My truck is an 08, no factory Nav or camera, I plan on purchasing the factory 08 tailgate handle mount and factory cam.

 

I just did this.I purchased the Garmin NUVI 5000 from an Ebay store for $189.00, a back up camera from Ebay for $35.00 and the Garmin back up cable kit for $14.00. The NUVI 5000 acepts the back up camera from the factory, all you need is the wire kit from garmin. This is a nice setup because you get a GPS and you get a large 5.5" screen for the back up camera.
