Threw in a new HU

Just finished up a quick install of the 4100...the PAC wire harness has a bad connection for the sub out so I gotta get another...didn't get the ant adapter and didn't run a second RCA set for the overhead DVD player that is already there. The overhead does play on the HU but we want to load from the HU and play overhead...etc. still need to read the manual, it's a tad tricky. Having some issues getting the ipod videos to play.

Thanks to Low_E_Ride for the quick help on the bypass...just ended up using a switch..didn't mount it just yet, its in the glove box until I get my drill saw out of the camper.

a quick shot..went with green to match the factory buttons..wife wanted that.

Never mind, I know of this model. Did you know that Pioneer just released 4 new models last Sat that should be hitting stores early next month?

Why did you use a switch for the bypass, a relay ends the need for any switching. My 4100 works flawlessly and I love not needing a switch.

yuppers, but since I am dealer, I got a good price and pricing was a factor...even with the lower end of the new units, the AVIC-U310BT my dealer cost is pretty high on these. It was for the wife and she wanted something simple and quick since her factory HU was destroyed by me...LOL long story.

Its actually a pretty impressive little unit for the price. The IPOD video is a little strange but we'll make it work.

The switch allows it to go back into "factory default" pending she gets pulled over for having video upfront.

We still have some RCA's tapped up in the C pillar to run to the HU...doing that on Thursday and hope to redo the PAC wire harness...we got a bad one.

here is another photo with the dual screens...cannot see the front as well from this shot....when we tested it, we used the DirectTV video connection to make sure we had the input right on the overhead.

Alpine PKG screen? God i love those things. Put one in our best customers newest truck the other day, an 09 colorado. One of the nicest overheads on the market IMO. The new pioneers look nice, but I wouldnt by one until I install a few and get a feel for how they are gonna be after the debacle that was the F700 and 900.

Everything is in, everything is working with the exception to the FM and AM radio. I have the ant plugged in(with the pig tail adapter) but it will not pick up am stations (I need sports radio lol)
