I installed a factory Navigation from an 07 Explorer in my 2006 F150. After much searching and a couple of calls to local Ford dealerships I believe I finally found the right antenna for this unit. I plugged in the antenna and it now shows me in the right area, but the map lags and it shows me going north when I might be heading east, etc. I have tried putting the antenna on the dash (metal side down) and had it stuck under the tray on the dash and it is still the same. I have driven for over 30-45 minutes numerous times with the antenna in numerous spots and it is still the same.

Does anyone have any ideas why this might be??

The model number on the unit was 7L2T-18K931-CC. When I called the dealerships, two different dealearships told me that was from an 07 Explorer and the correct antenna was the 6L2Z-10E893-AA. If anyone knows for sure that this is correct please let me know.

 

you need to have it programed to your F150. some thing to do with the speed sensors.
