DNX-7120 installed

I just realized that I never posted my install, I actually had it in a week and a half ago. And since the general rule is no pics, it didn't happen here is a few quick pics.

Very nice! I see you have a sirius antenna, do you have a factory sirius tuner installed?(not a sirius SC-C1 with CA-SR20V adapter like the Kenwood manual says) If so, how did you connect? I was thinking of getting the DNX-7120 but was doing some research on a wiring harness to connect the factory tuner to the stereo.

Thanks in advance

No, no sirrus for me. I sold the factory sirrus tuner. I just left the antenna there so I don't have a hole in my roof.

I have an ipod, so I have no need for sat radio. besides there is no way in hell I would pay for something that has been free for almost a hundred years.

Can't help with the wiring harness but I just installed the KW 5120 in my 06 with the Sirrius SCC1. I didn't want to run a second antenna but was told I would have to. Not so. At first glance the connector on the OEM antenna and the once that comes with the SCC1 look different. But, if you pop the square plastic plug apart that's on the end of the OEM antenna and remove it, the antenna lead will then fit the SCC1 perfectly.

I installed a DNX 5120 last summer (same unit as the DNX 7120 just a different volume control). Kenwood sent me a GPS upgrade CD in September or October, in the mail. You just pop it in, takes about 3 minutes to run then take it out. In the literature sent with the CD it was mentioned that whenever there was an update, another CD would be sent.

If you ground it, it will allow CDs to play while the vehicle is in motion... of course, I recommend against doing this.

Yeah I had it grounded, but when I rolled it shut off. What am I missing, I just posted a new thread explaining everything I could think of.

I grounded the wire on my 8120 and my navi and dvds work while in motion. No problems.
