well today i got an estimate on getting the damage fixed, it is close to $2500.00, the dash itself cost almost &1000.00. the jimmi jammers did work a good bit they tried to just use a screwdriver, but they couldnt get to the rod. i guess they finally just punched out the door lock, when they did that they broke the screw that holds the jimmi jammer to the door handle completely off. they must of hit it pretty hard or a least a few times.

I feel you pain, I had 2 W205's taken from my truck, 4 ipods and 2 BlackBirds

Each time, it was over 4K of damage (King Ranch leather isn't cheap to fix)

Now I have a 50X alarm with 2 way pager, proximity trigger, glass break, tilt warning etc...

When someone walks up or parks near me, it lets them know....then about 1 second later, I know on my remote...don't think i don't come a running or looking...

Secondly park your Driver door ALWAYS to the business front. Never away

Lastly, when bad people look at the front glass, they can see the trans mitter...they should know better not to mess with that truck that just means I know what they are doing.

It sucks in this day and age we cannot have something nice. Now I have no double din, just an Alpine HU and I take the face plate off.

I think he means have it so the drivers door is closest to door of the building you are going into. So if someone wants to try and punch a lock in then there is a chance someone will see them from inside the store or a camera. And better chance they cant just hide behind the side of your truck to bust in.

I had my truck broken into at the end of last month, they punched my lock but didnt take anything. They broke into 3 other cars at the same time. 1 being a friends mustang and another being another f150. This was in the middle of the day at the movie theater.

I dont park in the lot anymore.

Correct, yes, the Police told me after the first break in to always park with the drivers door faceing to the business or to where the most poeple can see it.

F150's and F250's are some of the easiest trucks to break into via the key hole. When mine was repaired the second time, I had to wait 6 months for the back order lock assembly.

Ford really should consider a design change.

Consider investing in this..
http://www.viper.com/P-5702V/Viper+5...e+Start+System

Its way cheaper through a store. I bet you could get a shop to install the kit with a proximity sensor for $400.

I'm buying that same alarm soon, I have to much invested in my truck and Ive been the victim of crime in the past as well.

suck you got broke into but I’m most concerned with your 2 guns you had stolen :o.. You need to be more responsible with your guns because you’re making the world more dangerous for me and everyone else...now there are 2 more guns in the hands of punks..
They make lock boxes you can install in your truck or If you can get a CWP and carry your gun will do you no good in your truck or in the bad guys hand ..Could you imagine running out to stop the thief and he shots you with your gun.

My wife and I pack everyday that ends in Y

Well there is a significant crime spree going on in the Atl these days. I work in Snellville and see this **** all the damn time. I was at the local Wal Mart and could see 2 guys braking into a civic and called the police. I gave them detailed info on the 2 guys as well as the car they got into to leave. The damn cop told me that I shouldnt have watched them so much due to they now know what my truck looks like and they may target me next. I then informed him that if he went in and watched the security footage he would see that they took off due to me pulling out my sidearm when I caught a glimpse of the young mom and kids walking up to the car while dude was ripping out the radio. **** is going to hell in a hand basket these days...
