Pioneer-AVH-P4000DVD

Heard good things about the Pioneer-AVH-P4000DVD double DIN CD/Audio System. Also wqant to add a backup camera to it. Is it easy to install or is professional installation recommended?

after getting the dash kit and wiring harness, it took me all of about an hour and a half to install it including the bypass switch and soldering in a resistor in teh remote wire for the factory audiophile sub

you can save a bundle by doing it yourself, if you have any questions just ask

The back up camera is easy too. Just plug it in and then there is already a backup camera sensor wire in the HU so all you do is tap into either your reverse lights, or if you have the reverse senors that should work too.

Although it may be easy for some people, it might be a different world for others. How comfortable are you with installing, ever done anything in the past? Do you have tools? it all depends, a lot of times its better just to take it somewhere, especially something like that, im sure you want it done right.

There is no reverse wire at the sensor plug. Its a Black/Pink low in the DKP. Theres no reason to go to the taillights.

Why use a switch? Use a relay.

Just a standard 30/40A Bosch relay. And then take the 87 to ground. 85 to ground. 30 to the Pk. Brake, 86 to Remote.

How does the factory satelite connect to this unit? Do I need to buy something else to connect?
