Question about backup cameras???

I installed a 7 inch touchscreen DVD player in my truck a while back and I would like to install a backup camera. I have been looking around for a while now and had no luck. I was trying to find online a place that sell the whole tailgate camera setup for my 06 but can't find one. Would I be able to install an 08 camera setup in mine? If so where can I find one. Also I would like to know if anyone has bought one of the cheap $30 cameras that go over your license plates on Ebay.

Honestly, I would love to get my hands on the 08 Cam. If I had a choice that would be the one to use. I can/could get it to work for you as well.

Its really getting what you pay for. Most of the cheap cam's are just that.

Hey,
If you're still looking for a oem camera and mirror, keep an eye on Ebay. A guy from Fla sold me one with the camera in the FORD LOGO for the tailgate with the display mirror for $300. I just have to find the right harness yet. It may be an extension harness piece. Still searching though.

The cheapest way ive found is this. go to tasca or f150partsguy and buy the 08 f-150 handle with camera hole. they make a few different styles tasca can probable hook you up with part numbers. then jump on ebay and find a camera. there is a thread called "backup camera" that has alot of information including handle part#s and the link for a camera that fits nice. you can get the whole setup form under $100
