Question 2009 F-150 Sony Navigation bypass

Anyone know how to bypass the safe mode to play DVD's when out of park?

It's more than a simple ground bypass. I'm thinking it is more of a programing issue. Is there a way to hack into the system in a "safemode" The unit is wired through a module hooked up to the trans. I am assuming that the module tells the unit when it is in park or not. We traced the wiring and have yet to find the wire that shows a change in current when shifting out of park.

TTT. any new information? Im sure the by pass would allow you to search the points of interest under standard route in the destination menu as well.

Surely there's a hack/workaround/module by now... The 09's have been out for a year or so, right?

I have no interest in watching a movie while driving, but the holiday trek from Texas to Iowa would be happier for my passengers if there was a way around this...

Unfortunatley there is no workaround. The only way to get around the safety feature is with a lockpik type module. The Navi is actual a Clarion unit, not Sony.
