Alpine IVA-W205/505 v.s. Pioneer Avic Z3

I'm looking to install one of these units in my truck this coming week. Just looking for some opinions and which unit you would choose and why.

Also, is there a way to bypass the 205/505 so I can watch DVD's while driving?

Thanks,
Chris

This for some may be a tough decision. I have a Z2 with a Z3 image and I'm going to say go for the Z3. If I'm not mistaken I think that you can take the nav unit out of the Alpine and use it in another car. If this is the case and it may help you I would say to go with that unit simply for that reason. I like the Z3 b/c its Nav is hard drive based and it has a 7" screen compared to the 6.5". I also think that the Z3 looks better but that is my personal opinion. If your not stuck on these two units give the Pioneer Avic F900BT a look. Their is a great review of it here www.avic411.com. Also at that site you can gain a great deal of info on the Z3. What ever you do let us know and post pics.
