Alpine overhead monitor question

I have an AVIC D2 in my 05 F150, I am thinking of getting this pkg-rse2. But I need to know if the DVD video is output from the AUX out. I can't seem to locate that info anywhere. The D2 does not play DVD video, and I would like to pipe the video to the headunit if possible. If not, I will have to go another route. Reviews say this overhead package is really nice.

I'm pretty sure it is but I don't remember. Give Crutchfield a call and ask them, they will know. I have mine connected to my Z2 but I didnt use the aux video to go back to the head unit.

Yes it does. When I had my AVIC-Z2, I had the DVD going both ways to and from.

I know it's been a while since you posted on this thread, but yesterday I impulsively bought an overhead rail system on eBay to put in my 08 F150 that didn't come with one originally. I haven’t received it yet, so I can’t say what it comes with. For starters, am I going to need a new headliner or can I just cut holes in my existing one? Does it anchor to any metal in the roof structure or just to the molded headliner? Any help is greatly appreciated.
