Hot glue, duct tape and a heat gun! That's why I'll either do it myself or take it to a specialized shop. No big boxes for me.

I agree, I will never have them or BB install anything for me again. Ive been burned in the past, never again. Im sure there are competent installers out there somewhere, but not here. I actually just installed an alarm on my truck this weekend. Took my Saturday, but at least I knew it was getting done right.

That is crazy. I had a heck of a time getting circuit city to fix my 2 month old tv. It took 2 months to get it back.

^ I do too but truth be told, I will not let any installer at a local CC or BB install my stuff. I know the lead installers at every store in our district and quite a few from BB. And they all suck, and are arrogant and think they are the best. Im sure some stores have awesome installers, but none of ours do.

$12K is one hell of a SIL!! That SD must be a tid bit mad

So I read into this a lil more...looks like the kid and the dealership are trying to screw circuit over just as bad as they effed up his car...They said he approved the harness being cut and the air ducts being modified in order to fit the deck in....also went from haeing 800 miles to 15,000 miles before he filed a claim? wow...

It's stories like that that have always kept me away from the BB's and CC's Anyway, I've always dealt with shops that only deal with high auto sound systems. Here in Va. Myer-Emco. These guys are tops!
