I have the intergrated Magellan on my 2004 and wondered if anyone else has experienced any problems or issues with the update. The unit just seems to be running very slow and does not always know where it's at. Sometimes after selecting a route it will tell me I need to make a U turn to reach the FWY when I can see it right down the road, that sort of thing. My wife and I are loosing confidence in the Magellan. We may have to start using the Thomas Guide again. I wondered if anyone else was having problems with it after the latest software update.

 

I haven't updated mine yet :o even after I paid for 3day shipping. But I have noticed that with mine anyways. I wonder if it has anything to do with how you are selecting your route. I mean if you select most use of freeways is it trying to take you on the freeway to get you there even though it's right in front of you. If so, try selecting your route different (to shortest distance) and see if it is still doing it. I have not done that yet, that's usually when I just ignore the thing and drive
