1999 F 150 AVIC-D3 install help!!

I just recently got my truck and I want to ad a nav system. I’m kind of partial to the AVIC-D3 because it does what I want and I can get a great deal on it. My only concern is can it be done? If so then how? Crutchfield says it wont fit but I would like to hope someone here might know how. Anyone?

yes it can be done...you will need to trim the dash to make it fit...a guy here did it and had some very good pics...run a search.

VSS is pretty much not going to happen. Unless you want to dig WAYY DEEP!

Reverse, I honestly forgot, but you can always go to the side opposite the hot wire @ the light.
