i got my 80 gb ipod with video and now im trying to figure out how to watch the video on my headunit. i can watch it on the ipod but how do i watch it on the headunit?

Also to answer your question, from the main menu go to Videos > Video Settings and turn TV Out to On if you want it to always stream the videos out the cable, or to Ask if you want it to ask you whether to stream it through the cable to another screen or to just play it on the iPod every time you click a movie in the videos list. Change the Output to NTSC for American Movies or PAL for European Movies, and turn Widescreen On if your screen is in a 16:10 or 16:9 aspect ratio. If it's a 4:3 aspect ratio leave Widescreen Off.


If that doesn't work try looking through the settings in your headunit or read the manual.

 

i think the problem is the 6th generation ipod classic 80gb. my cable says that this headunit doesnt support 6th gen classic. where can i buy a 5th gen ipod video and still get warranty?

 

Costco maybe? That's where I got mine a long time ago and it has a Costco Warrenty which IMO is way better than Apple. The people that handle warranties and stuff around here in the Apple stores are all jerk offs.

 

Alright now i have the correct ipod. 60gb this time tho. when i plug my ipod in the video button shows up on the headunit. This is good however. I cant figure out this watch video thing. How do i watch movies and vids on here. i have one on my ipod but it doesnt show on the headunit. what do you do when you hit that video button? mine does nothing, just goes to video and a black screen. /?????? anybody with any help at all please talk to me a lil bit. ha im so ignorant to this kinda stuff.
