Mom needs help with In-dash Audiovisual unit

I am a mom who wants to purchase a new unit for my son's 2002 F150 for Christmas. Have read about the Sony XAV-W1, Clarion MAX675VD, Kenwood DNX7100 and Pioneer Avic-D3. The navagation portion is not all that important. Two questions:

1. Can a 2002 F150 dual cab have a double-DIN unit installed?
2. Which one to choose???? :o

Thank you!

yes a 2002 can take a double din unit, however there will need to be some dash modification/trimming. a guy here did it and took some very good pictures.

Wow, fantastic present

You want to adopt another son? I am housebroken!

I have a Kenwood DNX7100 and love it. This is an excellent unit. If nav is not that important right now, you can buy a Kenwood DDX7019, and then if your son wants to add navigation at a later time, he can get a gna-510 nav module from Kenwood, plug it into the back of his head unit and he will have an excellent nav system and a premium stereo.
