Question about the D3

I am about ready to pull the trigger on getting a D3 for my truck but I have one question that I haven't seen addressed yet.

I understand you have to eject the music CD to use or set up the Nav, but if you have a CD playing will the Nav work in "real time" ?

Can you drive along listening to your tunes with the moving map showing on the display ?

Thanks !

as long as you program a specific route the d3 will store it to memory allowing you to remove the nav cd and it will still navigate. but if you make a wrong turn you are probally going to need the disc again so the d3 can re-route you. also the d3 can only remember so much, so if it is a long route chances are once you get to a certain point it will probally ask for the nav disc so it can continue to navigate.

if you do not program a specific route then no the nav isn't going to work in real time.

the best solution if you are going to use the navigation all the time is to buy an ipod.
