7100 self install

7100 self install

hey guys, just wondering if I can put the nav and sat antennas under the dash or do I have to have them visible, also do I splice in the resistor on the blue white wire, thanks

put the resistor in line on the blue and white wire, I used a 4.7k from radio shack and it works great, stopped the thump at start up, I took off my top tray . then loosened the front panel and pryed up and slid my gps antenna under it so it came out right next to the windshield and you can barley notice it and it has a clear line of sight to the sky.

Looks like most of your questions were answered....

The satellite antenna must have a clear line of sight to the skies....most folks are mounting the antenna just in front of the third brake light.
