Factory Navigation Help

I have an 07 with the factory navigation. I know Ford is try to protect me while playing with my Navigation while driving but does anyone know how to disable this safety feature. I hate having to stop or slowdown to the speed threshold to input and address.

I also have a factory Nav and believe me, the lockout feature (while driving) is for your own good. Never heard of anyone hacking it - did hear of someone trying to get the factory unit to play DVDs without an external player. (Don't think it's been done, yet) Again, I know it sucks, but better to have your attention on the road. It's for your own good. - Og

im sure you dont want to hear this, but i have the eclispe avn-5510 in my expedition. a lot less money than the oem one($2k+ option), and i can make changes while im driving at all speeds, and have the internal dvd playing while driving as well. not sure if its something that mark set up for me or if its normal, but i like it better than my oem navigation unit that is sitting in my basement.

Playing DVD's

OgRedd - you talked about making it play DVD's, has anyone had any progress on this?
