Headrest Monitors

Where can I find some quality headrest monitors, I just want a good looking set. I want the screen surround to be attractive as well. The best one I've found would be the attractive Farenheit screens shown below. Can anyone give a review of a certain brand of headrest monitor? Once again, I am looking for something that will fit "comfortably" in our headrest (under 8"), with an attractive design but more importantly a quality screen. What is a good resolution for a 6.5-7in widescreen?

Also, what is the best way to mount a camera like the one I've posted below. I don't want it protruding from the bumper too much, if at all.

J' I got my camera from kawamall.com it's not the best quality but it works great and the picture was always good. Only problem is it would fog up now and then. Look in my gallery. Theres a picture of it installed in my 06. I forget if you have backup sensors...if not, theres a hole already drilled in the metal part of the bumper just to the left and right of the license plate. All you have to do is drill out the plastic bumper cover and it fits right in.

Let me know if you get it and need help with it. I've installed a few of them.

Great tips Brew. I wasn't aware of that, it will work. However, you have any other ideas just in case. I want to be able to see my drop hitch ball. I wish I could install it about 5 inches below my ford emblem on my tailgate. I'm considering drilling through the tailgate, removing the rear access panel and doing it that way. The reason is the bumper sensor location is offset a little, does that make backing the trailer up a little more difficult? Do you sometimes wish it was perfectly centered or does it make little difference. Let me know brew, unfortunately I'm on a computer where I cannot sign on. I will sometime soon, I just try not to spend too much time on here.

The camera comes with trim rings to space it out and angle it if you want. It works fine for me and I really don't mind it being off center a little. you can also mount one underneath the bumper. I know kenwood and some others have small cameras enclosed in a square case you can mount underneath. There's a lot of options out there.

No problem about not signing on. Honestly,,,,i'm never on much anymore either. I just wanted to ask you about your head unit and LED's in the mirrors. I'm looking at hed units with NAV but can't make up my mind.

Brew, I purchased the Z1 off ebay today, the bluetooth adapter + a backup camera. It's this one. I hope it's good quality, I'm thinking of adding infrared led's along the bumper for added viewing distance at night. I might just put the camera in the middle of the license plate, that should work pretty well but I'm afraid it might be too far back. Whatever I decide I will do lots of testing prior to installing.

I probably won't do a writeup either, but I'll take pics! I'll definitely give you the 411 on everything Brew over Aim.

I bought the same cam from kawa, it crapped out after a couple weeks unfortunately, ended up buying a CCD camera instead of a CMOS and wow, what a picture quality difference. (Kawamall wanted $30 to replace the defective cam even though it was only two weeks old. I said no thanks.) I mounted mine in the hole for the backup sensors. Can't see the ball hitch, you'll need to do something else, looking around I found this, which you could probably fab up: http://www.mobilevideo4less.com/Merc...ketcam-big.jpg or mount a cam like this guy did: http://www.area41customs.com/gallery...g2_itemId=8524 I just wish they made one of these: http://www.aaaremotes.com/tagabacatrfo.html for f150's.

I got the same kawamall cam for 15 bucks about a year and a half ago, it doesn't have color any more but I think it was worth the 15 bucks.
I also put it on the BU sensor location and I didn't mind it being offset some, but I guess it just varies from person to person...

Josiah, have you looked into Myron & Davis headrests, they look clean and you can order the whole headrest so you don't have to cut into your factory headrest
