I love this thing, but I am disappointed with the FM reception. I cannot tune any stations clearly. My factory antenna was cut off about 3 inches to fit in my garage, but my factory HU had perfect reception. The alpine won't tune in anything, even strong stations. Anyone else notice this???

Do they make aftermarket antennas for our trucks that are shorter than oem and get good reception?

Can't wait to get my Sirius back up and running!!

 

My 205 gets good reception, not that I listen to FM much tho. Maybe check your connection where the antenna plugs into the radio, might not be fully connected or something. If your old radio had decent reception, I wouldnt expect the shortened antenna to be the issue, but you never know weirder things have happened. Should be able to find a shorter antenna someplace, I think most aftermarket ones are universal.

 

Not really that happy with my FM reception either but I have a small billet ant b/c my F250's factory ant will not fit in my garage. I don't really care about FM anyway since I have almost 4K songs on my IPOD. I really only listen to AM sports radio when driving and I want the radio.

Agree, check your connections if its really bad.
