the OE sunglass holder has a "stop" notch on the swivel hinge to keep if from bouncing. with the added wire at the top and the weight of the actual monitor it provides it with a firm position. i can actually only open it partially and it stays that way. The wire keeps it fully opened and from swinging/swaying. it feels firmer and tighter thru the range of motion of the hinge because of this.
i drove it the first day open over all kinds of terrain and it kept still.
It works as well as or better then you would expect an OEM unit to function.

This may be my next project. I'm not brave enough to learn how to do the headrests for the first time on my screw, and I'm not a real big fan of any of the drop down lcd options either. I think this looks badass and provides the perfect viewing angle for the back seat.
