I am about to pull the trigger and get one from crutchfield. I have a couple of questions:

Did you get yours for a lot cheaper than their $899?

Do you know if it will work with the first generation Blackbird with the docking station?

Other than the docking station being built in, did anything else really change?

 

Just called Alpine Tech Support and they said with the docking station, the gen 1 Blackbird will work with the W205. Sweeeettt! I am still looking around for a great deal on a W200 but, I am thinking a call to crutchfield will happen today.

 

I'd like to see someones Blackbird / dock set-up. That's on the list for later this year...

I like it.... plus it ejects like the old home cassette decks and is ready to use in another car with the portable mounting kit.
