Playing video on new Nav headunits

I was wondering if any of the companies like PIE or PAC had an interface that allows the factory all in one Nav radios (2007) play DVDs, so I checked their websites. They did not show any units that did this yet so I did a Google search and found this site.

http://www.tvandnav2go.com/ford-navigation-system.html

Has anyone seen this before or tried one of their units?

I also came across this company.

http://www.avelectronic.com/

I called them and they said they need me to send them my headunit and they will modify it by adding a wire so the navigation-video interface can be plugged in.

This is the first time I've heard of anyone able to integrate video into the new NAV units. Maybe Mark (nuthinbutaford) has some insight?

NavTV.com, I had it installed 3 years ago on my wifes o4 Lincoln Navigator w navigation. Nav-TV is a RGB plug in interface that interrupts the video signal coming from the GPS. You have to add a FM modulator and a video source(DVD player, backup camera, playstation) as many item as you want. I have 2 switches, 1 is the RGB interface(video) and the other is the FM modulator. The navigation system, radio, and CD all work in the back ground when the video screen is on. I can be driving down the highway watching a movie and flip the switch to check the navigation screen and flip back to the movie. All voice commands from the navigation system will work the same as when the radio, CD or GPS is on (all steering wheel controls work to). The price on these units has come down. I paid 1,300 installed with a top of the line Dvd unit. About 6 month after installation i got a deal on headrest monitor and install myself. You can not use the factory DVD GPS unit, its only a video signal unit. Do your research, these units are out there and the price has come down.

The navtv option is only available for the navigators with outboard nav units(you load the dvd on the pass side center console) up to 2006. The new ford nav units are now all-in-one units and does not allow you to have accessability to the rgb signals. The only option right now would be to hack into the radio and cut the signals going to the screen. If anyone is willing to void their warranty, and give someone their nav unit to do this to, jot down my cell# so you can order a new replacement radio when it fails. 978-815-5111
