Just installed Panasonic CQ-VD6503U..pics inside

Overall I like it alot so far, the radio tunes in really good compared to alot of other aftermarket decks I have had. The CD/DVD section itself takes a minute to read. The sound quality is better than I expected since I have the POS stock speakers still. I am not sure how to operated everything yet really but I just installed it and had it working pretty easily without even reading the manual. I think it is very user friendly compared to alot of decsk I have seen. But..anyways..here are some pics..

Sweet. If you don't mind me asking, how much did it run you?

I bought it off ebay...refurb unit..then got the extended warranty...shipped to my door for a little over $400.

I used the AI FMK552 install kit which works quite well.

There is a wire for you to connect to the parking brake to make it so you can only watch it parked. BUT...

All you do is wire that wire directly with the black chassis ground wire....and you are watching moviesgoing down the road! Some other units have more complicated setups....

I'll post up some pics if it playing a movie later as well.

I have a couple sets of components, but I think I'm going to use a set of OZ Matrix 6.5" components in the front powered off an old-school MTX 280 and then I'm going to run a single JL 10W3 off of a matching MTX 280. I will probably use the deck power to run the rear speakers.

I wanted a stealthbox...but the price is too much for me so I'm making my own.

Oh ok cool. Good to know.
I plan on getting one later down the road after I get my wheels/tires so my wife can watch something while I drive.
Thanks again!
