Good morning Ford owners,

I have just installed a factory nav system and have a question.

My auto dim function doesn't seem to work correctly. I can switch between day / night mode manually but there doesn't appear to be a function when I use the auto dim softkey in the nav menu.

My Lariat has an auto headlight sensor and it seems to work correctly. Is there a relationship between the two?

 

In order for auto-dimming to work you need to turn your lights on, if you are trying to check this during daylights with auto headlights on, you need to cover your sensor with your hand first wait a little bit and it will switch to night mode
