Dual XDVD8181

Dual XDVD8181
In-dash DVD receiver with 7" touchscreen

Is this a good headunit/dvd player or no?

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-j1Nlilv...=070VD8181#Tab

If not can someone inform me of one thats under $500, plays everything good, and has a good crisp sound quality and video quality!

Thank You

Opinions on this will vary you will find....as to not offend you...there are better HU's out there for just a tad more money.

The old adage applies here. You do get what you pay for.

I think you would have better luck with a more mainstream HU and using Dual as say the drop down screen vs the main HU.

patience. not all of us are on here every day looking at every thread.

I have the 8182 and I like it. My only complaints with it are it takes a while to load a cd, even if you are playing the cd, switch to radio, then go back to the cd (maybe 20 seconds or a little more) and the radio reception isn't the best (my old alpine HU had reception that was notably better). For the money it's a good head unit, but like rollingrock said, you get what you pay for with these things.
