On wednesday my two 7" MRE-700 headrest screens come in. I finally did it....lol The only thing is I'm worried that 7" is going to be hard to do because of the size. Can anyone give me specific details about how long it will take me to install, or wiring, or anything. Thanks guys!
should I just pay to have it installed?

Here's the link I used when I installed my headrest monitors:

Mine didn't:
I can't return this, or rather I won't pay a restocking fee, so I won't return them. For anyone considering buying screens Boss sucks. They claim a good resolution but these look worse than 1970's TV. I'm thinking of installing these on the kids bunk beds.

I measured the headrests in mine and theyre 8 1/2" across. I am waiting for my new 7" Alpines that dont come out for another month (but of course are already paid for). I looked them up on the european website and they are 173 mm's (6.8") across at the outside of the monitor, give me a little over 3/4" a side to fit them in (with a basket of course). I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm not stressed, i'll figure it out if theyre too big but I sure hope theyre not, dont really need the headache. Keep us posted i'm going to pay close attention to your install.

My 7" screens are right at 9" across maybe 8.5" with the surround off.
Don't forget they probably didn't include the housing or the surround.
Oh I should mention these are 16:9 screens so that may make a big difference. Where as 4:3 screens will be taller and I'm too dang tired to figure which would be bigger if they are both 7" screens.

my truck is in the body shop getting the rear driver's side door repaired from the jerk that hit me in the parking garage.....I have to wait until I get it out on Thursday to see...as for the screens they are nice and compact with not many buttons on the side or bottom

I just used the only head rest that I had and they were the ones that came in my truck. I had never done an install like this before and it wasn't difficult at all. The hardest part was making the first cut into the leather. After that it was really pretty easy. I just followed the the directions in the link I posted in this thread earlier. Why buy an extra set of headrest to cut up? You can always buy another set if you do mess something up.

ok I think Im going to give it a shot...I really wish someone lived close to me that could give me a hand...hmmm maybe my dad can help me out
by the way...how did you secure the bracket to the headrest...was there a metal plate inside the headrest that it screwed into? or how did you go about doing that part? I had heard that the F150 headrests were difficult because the metal rods didn't extend into the upper part of the headrest located INSIDE the headrest
