I don't have the factory Nav system, but I am putting in the Ecplise AVN5500 and I thought I read somewhere on here that thefactory location is wthin the dash just several inches behind the nav unit. I was wondering if anyone knows if this is correct. My truck is an '07 Supercrew.

The factory works real well there, however the eclipse works better on top of the dash for some reason. I have tried both with my eclipse and its on top now.
