2001 F150 speed sensor pulse and reverse wire

I did a search and most of what I'm finding is 04+ guys talking about this. Can anyone confirm the speed sensor wire and the reverse wire I need to tap into for my avic n1 ? I have naviation on it, is the speed sensor wire a must? It seems to work ok without it but I'm guessing it may be more accurate with it. I'm thinking I can use the one that was used for the factory radio? Thanks guys!

Did your stock radio have speed sensitive volume? If so you can hook up to the speed wire found in the second factory wiring harness that you are not using when you hooked everything for you aftermarket system up. Use the gray/pink wire in the second harness. Check out the diagram below. Hope this helps.

Could also try Gray/Black at the radio harness. Worked for me a few times.

Reverse wire is really only needed if your using a backup camera. If you have one, let me know and Ill look up the color.

Check my post again. It's pin 9 in the second harness. It should be a gray/pink wire.
