AVN5500, Ipod and Sirius problems??

Installed the AVN5500 with the ipod ipc-106 and the factory installed sirius on my 06 mark lt. The ipod and the sirius are not working and the directions are very confusing about the a/b switches on the ipod box. Also without the factory hu will the sirius still work???

I am not positive on it but, I do not think the factory sirius would work with an aftermarket head unit. Maybe someone with that unit can comment on the ipod.

I don't believe it will... you'll need an aftermarket sirius module (SIR-ECL1 to be exact).

However you won't be able to run Sirius and the ipod adapter together, unless you put the ipod adapter on the CD changer input, and then you lose a lot of functionality.

For the ipod, I just use the ipod AV cable on the AV input of the deck. Sounds perfect, and watching movies from the ipod video is GREAT. I never have to take out the navi DVD.

I also have the AVN5500, when they first came out they were advertized that the unit would have full function with the IPC-106, NOT, and yes the manual is worthless, I called Eclipse and also got a worthless reply, the Sirus is also junk, I had a 20.00 unit that got better reception! as far as im concern Eclipse is JUNK, I think next time I will go Pioneer
