Eclipse MRE-700W

Looks like Eclipse has 7" LCD screens now. Thinking of getting them.

Opinions?

I agree I would love to have all eclipse screens in my truck, but $580 for the pair? I would like to install them myself but at the same time I don't want to mess anything up. How much do you think my local custom stereo shop would charge me to install them into the headrests? I think I could get a pair of farenheits or some cheaper brand for like $220 for both shipped. Let me know your input guys!

ALSO do you know if these units come with everything you need to mount them into the headrests (mounting bracket etc.)?

Its hard to drop twice as much money for basically the same product but, at least you know what you are getting. I bought a 10" Alpine for my wife's FX35. Sure, I could have bought a generic no name for less than half of what I paid but, it's the piece of mind knowing I am getting an awesome piece of equipment I know will do the job and do it the right way the first time. I think you made a great purchase. Eclipse makes great stuff. In the top tier for sure.

Yeah and the two main factors that made me decide buy them are: number one, they have the auto dim feature which means at night (when your headlights are on), the screen adjusts the to night to make them not too bright. number two, I wanted to have all eclipse screens in my truck instead of having eclipse, invision, etc. I am so nervous about installing them into the headrests. I guess I'm just going to go super slow. I also am not exactly sure how to wire them up. I want to be able to navigate in the front and then have the screens in the back watching a movie or playing a video games. I'm not sure if I need an aftermarket av switch so that I can make each screen do the desired function. The overhead oem dvd player will control them half the time and then the avn5500 will control them when we are all watching the same movie with sound through the truck speakers. I also want to wire in an xbox 360 somewhere. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated!
