Nav Selection AVIC D2 vs Z1

All,

I'm looking to get swayed here - im thinking about getting a nav unit in my 04 SCREW. The D2 looks to be about half the cost of the Z1? I'm very interested in bluetooth, which I know comes with the Z1 - but is that the only big difference?

Which way would you go?

Chris

I bought the Z1 a while back and love it. Having the best of all worlds is what swayed us... DVD / NAV / Harddrive that records all your CD's / XM / Bluetooth / IPOD & a ton more. you'll be amazed at the difference you will get from your stock speakers too - Bought ours on line for about $1500 and installed it myself, really wasn't all that bad.

I bought the Z1 a month ago, and love it. I am having a few issues with the bluetooth, but all in all, I would recomend it.

I've had my Z1 for about 3 months. I FREAKIN LOVE IT. I have bluetooth, Ipod, Sirius, and rear camera on the way. I am glad I spent the extra money on exactly what I wanted. The HD seemed lame at first but I like being able to take someone elses CD and burning it right on the spot.

The bluetooth unit has to be adjusted on a lot of calls. I only turn it on when I am on the highway. So when someone calls it is already set for the right volume to prevent an echo on the caller side. If you are sitting still you have to turn the volume down to get rid of the echo again....just an FYI. Also, it is DARN handy to have.

Thanks for the feedback

Thanks all for the feedback - I think I'm going to go the Z1 route. I'll take a stab on installing this myself, so if you have any advice or pictures I would appreciate it!
