Alpine IVA-W200 Question

Ok, I download the cool images off a site someone here posted or Alpine's site to put on the screen only to not be able to see it because of all the info that shows when a CD or Sat Radio is playing. Is there any way to have a blank background while playing a CD or Sat. Radio? Something like what the DVD does. Hide all the info unless I press a button then it would pop up on the screen. Maybe I am just overlooking it. Anyone figured this out?

Found this one while searching before asking the same question. Anyone know if that is possible?

I haven't come across that yet. Right now, I just blank the screen. I'd be nice to just see the background w/o all the other information unless tapped.

What are you using for Nav? I was told the Alpine Blackbird works with this unit? Do you have it?

How do you like the ipod integration? I use Pioneer now with touch screen, its pretty good but I wanted to get a different head unit.

Go to that site where the guy has all the back grounds ( not Alpines web site ) and get the FORD logo back ground. It sits off center just enough on the screen so that you can see the entire logo and the rest of the screen is black. I have it on mine right now...it's pretty cool.

Another limitation of the background images that I just discovered. If you have the rear mode set to anything other than off, then you will not be able to see the background image one the W200, except on cd/dvd. I thought something was wrong with my unit because on radio. sat, or ipod, the image I had loaded would not display. Only on cd/dvd. Turns out this is that way it works. I have my rear set to dvd to play on my rear overhead screen. The only way to see the background image all the time is have rear set to off. Not a big deal but a little annoying since my little one uses the rear screen almost every time he rides.

Tap VISUAL then select the DVD player icon. That displays the background for me.

I have that one and the Built Ford Tough one. Thanks for that tip. That seems to work.

It will display it when I do that, but about 5 sec later it switches back.

When I put a DVD in it plays the DVD instead of the background. I guess it works if you do not have a DVD in the drive. I will keep trying but, it may be a no go. With the rear screen on anyway.
