Where to install?

Just ordered 6019 with the nav unit and XM and was wondering where most of you were putting everything at in your trucks? Am thinking that I might be able to mount all but the head unit under the drivers seat, although I do have elec. seat. But want to keep the pass seat empty for a future amp. And dont really want to take up space under the back seat as I do use my truck for lots of things. Thanks for all the help.

There is a ton of room behind the factory head unit. If you dont need to get at a part it can easily be installed in there. I have my bluetooth kit, hub, in there allready, and will be installing my satelite radio unit and anything else i dont need to fiddle with there as well.

Been looking

Just got the truck back from the shop today, had to get rocker panels repainted due to paint flakeing off, and took the dash apart just to see how much room was back there and I know I can get the xm stuff back there with no problem but not sure if I really want the nav unit there just incase I want to get to it. Any of you guy with the Kenwood G-510 nav have any input?

A guy that works at the local shop has the same unit and same truck and he mounted the nav brain in the panel that runs down beside the center console. You know, the two lighter color strips on either side of the radio that run from the windshield to the floor.

Looked on Kenwoods site and got the measurments for the nav unit and kind of think I will put it under the drivers seat. That way pass. seat is still open and the nav will be easy to get to if need be. Looking it should fit under there with no problem. Now I just cant wait till all of it comes in so I can get started installing.
