AVIC Z1 Question

Ok someone please tell me how to change the button color to green on the front face of the z1. No way they thought of everything else on this unit but that. This is one amazing piece of equipment.

I emailed Pioneer and the response was "While this is a great idea, this is currently not a feature of the Z1."

That pretty much wrote the Z1 off my list because I don't think I can live with blue buttons. I mean if I'm going to drop that much cash it might as well be exactly what I want.

It has all the features, just lacks the right button color.

So far the only thing comparable I found is the Kenwood 6019, then add Nav and the other stuff as extra's. Price ends up being about the same with the Kenwood being a little cheaper. Still has all the same feature and you can change the button color between red and green. I'm currently looking on the forum for installed pictures.

I liked the Kenwood initially. I was comparing it with the AVIC-D2 and out the gate the Kenwood is cheaper. As you said, once you start adding up all the extras it's more expensive than the D2 and close to a Z1.

Try to find some pics of the user interface. What I've seen it's a little bland. Not boring...just "not exciting." Other than that the unit is SWEET. Sophisticated look and good performance. I also like that the nav unit has the maps built into memory and upgradeable via SD.

Either way (Z1 or DDX) you can’t go wrong.
