Adapter

Is there anything special about the adapter? I'm looking to do the same thing, but if the adapter simply converts the factory plug to an RCA plug, I'd rather do it myself. I've got plenty of solder and heat-shrink where I work. Thanks.

I would rather just pay the $19.95 it costs for the harness

Heres a link to what it is
