Has anyone heard anything else about the avn-5495 and sirius??

 

I'm not sure how much you know about this, but this is what I know, the sirius tuner was not programed to work with the 5495 because of its recording capability and sirius' legal bs, but since it can only be recorded into itself and not be rerecorded back out they gave eclipse the goahead with the reprograming. The latest news I've heard on the update (which was 2 weeks ago was any day). I've been so busy at work I haven't had time to check if its out yet. I do own an AVN5495 myself so I will find out as soon as I can.

 

I don't think there's been any change but, I could be wrong.

This was one reason (besides price) why I went with the 5435... although, I admit it -- I'd like to have NAV and DVD at the same time (obviously on different screens)... I'm addicted to Sirius though... it's a good trade I suppose.

Keep us posted... that'd be some good information for someone attempting to decide between the 5435 and 5495 if that was a factor!
