Wow Avic-z1

Check it out. It appears this will be officially announced at CES2006. Sync with bluetooth, 30G HD, etc. Looks like I'm waiting some more. This is going to walk all other other units. Just hope you can defeat the disengage so you can use nav when rolling.

I read that it needs a double DIN size opening, so yeah its gonna be flush in the dash. Im buying this. For sure. Thankfully I sell this stuff so I can get it and get it at a decent price when its released!

I say it will cost about $2,500.00, that is what the AVIC-N2 cost when it came out. None the less it is going to be pretty sweet.

It looks just like a AVIC-D1, but with far better graphics and more features.

Nice. I'm saving my pennies. Hope you can disable the nav lockout at speed.

Yeah, for sure. It really depends on what it is, but I basically get the price that you would pay if you were an empoyee at Best Buy or something... I can buy plenty though. Ill let you guys know when its time. Till then, its the waiting game.

If you had a choice between AVIC-Z1 and ECLIPSE-AVN7000; would you wait for ther Z1? I really need a nav system.

New news on this unit from CES 2006. Price is going to be $2250 and it will be out soon. Alot of money, but you get alot of features that would cost much more if bought separately. I'm saving my pocket change(for about three years)

avic-z1

I am really excited and cannot wait for the z1 to come out in April. Does it make sense to start collecting related gadgets? What else will it need to complete everything it can do? XM Sat traffic and radio interface, ipod interface (even though I don't actually own an ipod), rear view camera, voice activation interface, etc.

The biggest question remains; will it allow one to change destination while driving? I know many people have reason to have an ability to play dvds while driving but I would want to change destination while driving and I heard Pioneer are going to make this difficult to bypass; pardon my ignorance it may be possible anyway or I hope some genius will come up with a bypass.
