just ordered the unit will be here friday
i was going to try to install my self.
any hints or tricks i should know about????

don't have mine yet either. Did you order the wire harness and dash kit for it? If so you shouldn't have any problems. There's enough posts on here about the speed pulse wire and brake sense wire. Then I'm sure that's an antennea wire to run for the GPS. Other then that, it's the same as anyother head unit install.
