question about 4x2 winter driving - Nebraska

I live in Nebraska and just bought an 03 f150 sport v6 5sp 4x2. I purchaed it because it looks great and I got an awesome buy on it. I wanted to know if anyone had gone through a winter with a truck similar to mine, and what was the outcome? Will studs and sand help or will I have to sell it by next spring?

I had a 2000 4x2 and currently have a 05 4x2 and driven both in snow of course I have a auto so I just start out in 2nd gear. Adding some wieght over the rear tires will help out as well and make sure you have plenty of tread on your tires. These trucks drive in the snow pretty good alot better than any Mustang GT I ever had.
