Hey Kentuckians...

I'm new here, but notice several Kentuckians around this joint. Got to meet "welfare wagon" today, a fellow Central Kentuckian, and scope out his truck...sweet ride.

The next time there's a local get together, I'd love to meet some of you folks. Like I mentioned to welfare wagon today, I'd even volunteer my retail store in Lexington as a cruise in point one night when it gets warmer in the Spring. I might have some mods done by then.

Mods done so far (not bad for owning it 2 weeks):
  • Black Westin Bull Bar w/Stainless Skid Plate
  • PIAA 540 Lamps on the BullBar
  • Extang Express Tonno
  • UK Hitch Plug and UK Rear Window Decal (a must have)
  • Clarion Calypso Sirius Tuner
  • EGR Ford Logo Bugshield
  • Removed the chrome stepbars that were on the truck from the dealer. Chrome doesn't work on this truck.

Coming soon:
  • Black Stepbars (Westin Platinum Series, Black over Stainless)
  • Black LED tail lamps
  • Smoke LED Third Brake Light
  • FX2 Headlamps or Harley Headlamps
  • FX2 Grille, insert painted dark shadow grey
  • 2" Tuff Country Front Leveling Kit
  • Some kind of wheel and tire package in the Spring...just not sure what yet.

I was born in Bowling Green, grew up in Winchester, live in Lexington now. I'm the Sales & Marketing Manager for an aftermarket wheel/tire/accessory distributor. I pull an '05 Tracker bass boat all around Kentucky chasing smallmouth bass, play some golf, am a bit of a target shooting gun buff, and enjoy just about anything automotive. Dad had Fords when I was growing up, but this is my first Ford truck. I had been on the Dodge bandwagon, but decided to give the blue oval a try...loving it so far. Unfortunately, I'm not very mechanically inclined, so I can only handle the light mods myself. lol

Chime in Kentuckians...

I have met up with a few of the Kentuckians from the board.

This one is from the first bbq lunch. Both kd4crs and myself have traded trucks since. (pay no mind to the date lol)

The more recent gathering...

I would like to do a spring cruise, but would be towing my 68 Mustang to cruise in. Somernites Cruise down in Somerset, Kentucky would be something to consider also.

I was looking at the Cold Beer in the background, all the events we have revolve around liquor, first at the local juice shop, then onto a more expenseive taste, Bourbon. Whats next meet at the local crack house for a real buzz?

There you go Red taking up all the space in the second photos, blocking the view of eveyones truck. Camera Hog!

FBQ Good to meet you in person today, perhaps something can come together once Spring arrives, Oh wait its here already 67 degres on January 4th.

I'm in Owensboro, didn't make it to the last meet due to work, and there is another guy on here from Madisonville. Maybe you all could move west a little bit, like Elizabeth town or something, but Louisville wouldn't be too bad of a trip either

Frankfort here

I just got back from a all expense paid trip to Iraq and am anxious to get together with some fellow Ky-ians and talk trucks.

Seeing as how the weather around here is typical for Ky (68 on day and snowing the next), we need to plan something for the spring. Definately count me in!!!

Go CATS!!....

Long Drives

Far East, Far West, and all points in between...I look for an excuse to make a trip when gas isn't too far out of sight...especially with a new truck to drive! But I understand that some of those hauls are a bit much.

Hawkfxr724, I've got a good good friend of mine from Boone Center in Frankfort over in the theater right now. He's at Arifjan right now I believe.

I don't live in Kentucky. I just pay 'the man' a set fee each month to claim that I do.
