anyone ever replace coil packs? just posted a message about cyl 4 misfire. p0304 code.... i'll be the first to admit i don't know jack about this stuff....and i hate to toss money to a shop. i'll take a shot at replacing it myself..just need guidance so i don't blow myself up...lol...

but i replaced the egr valve and dpfe sensor in my windstar and replaced the hub assembly on my grand prix....so i'm trying...im 2 for 3 right now.

Coil packs (early 4.6 motor) or coil on plugs (later 4.6 and all 5.4 motors)? Either way, it's still easy... Just unbolt the old one, unplug it, plug in the new one, and bolt it down. If you've got the coil packs then there's 4 spark plug wires to worry about.
