ATTN: Kentucky and surrounding states
Well, it figures....
I've been waiting for a meet in Ky, and this one is evenin my hometown, and I'm still stuck in Iraq. CRAP!!
I hope someone will take some pics of the event and either post them or send them to me. Buffalo Trace has a GREAT tour. The only distillery that's been in operation since the late 1800's. Even through Prohibition. ( I've taken the tour a bunch of times!!) I hope the weather is cool and they're cooking the mash..mmmmmm, the smell of home.
Getting there is pretty easy, lots of signs from Interstate 64 all the way to the front gate. As for lunch, ther are some really good places right downtown(Gibby's, Buddy's Pizza, they're pretty good size..if you had an idea about how many are coming you could call ahead).
I wish I could be there, Frankfort's got a lot of history. Rebecca Ruth candies is right downtown too, Free Bourbon *****!! haha
ARGH! This really bums me out. Please, PLEASE keep me informed about any other meets in the state. I'll definately be there. I'll even make an appointment with Rockpick to detail my truck!
I hope you all have a great time and I sure wish I could be there, but I'll be there in spirit. Enjoy Frankfort. I sure will when this deployment is over.

I'll be there as long as nothing comes up between now and early Saturday morning. Red how are you going up? We could meet somewhere and travel together. I wanted to do some stuff to my truck but It doesn't look like I'm going to have time. I found out today the bottom of my bed bends before the exhaust tip.....damn stump jumped right out of nowhere when I was backin up...
I'm planning on being there but, I have family situations that are unfolding as we speak....
In the past week my grandmother has had emergency surgery that the doctor described as serious for a 30 year old much less a 94 year old woman. Additionally, my aunt was diagnosed with cancer today.
Both are in the hospital at this point. My grandmother's prognosis is bleak; although, the doctors say that she's made it much farther at this point than they would've thought.
My aunt is having a procedure tomorrow tomorrow to determine how bad it may be -- they're saying that it's very bad though. BTW, for those of you who smoke out there... it's throat and larynx cancer -- she smoked for about 30 years. Something to think about...
Like I said, I'll make it if I can. No offense to you guys but, my family is coming first here... I know you guys understand.

Damn Rock, sorry to hear but us punk-***** obviously take a back seat. I have a situation of my own, though on the opposite end of the spectrum. Things are shaping up for getting tickets to one or both of the ACLS game(s) this Friday/Saturday so there is no way I'll get down there. Tiges up 7-4 in the bottom of the 7th now, 2 outs... could be a sweep. I gotta be here, I was 7 years old when we won the last World Series...
...%*@( 7-5 now two outs.
Anywho, sorry guys. My thoughts are with you and the family RP, we'll hook up another time.
