I'll bring a few ford loving/beer drinking friends along so add 2 more to the head count so it will be more impressive and maybe get us in the door.

04 red Lariat,

I Looked up your location on the "sticky thread where yout marked on the map for f150online" I think your a little over 4 hours away from where I live. I tried to zoom down to see exactly where you live, but got nothing but trees! lol

I'm up for the get together if your still having one!? It would be a nice drive down to country land :-P as long as you don't mind an odd ball Mountaineer with all the F150's? ha

Let me know! It sounds fun!

Trees sound about right. I do live in the mtns. The get together won't be at my house. It will be in lexington/frankfort/louisville somewhere like that.

Bad news mis amigos...

We got a great big 'negatory' on the plant tour.

The guy I talked to was VERY nice but explained that they simply didn't do things like this at a plant level. He explained that it'd have to come from 'higher up the chain' (aka: Detroit) before they'd be able to make plans.

To his recollection, they only have a couple of tours per year and they typically revolve around something that is highly political or a large-scale conference such as the aforementioned Future Farmers of America (FFA) national convention.

Tis life I suppose... it was worth asking.

Ideas on a meeting place?

Buffalo Crossing Fun Ranch in Shelbyville? Just a thought. Or a Cracker Barrel? Hmmm.

What is this fun ranch you speak of?

It's a glorified petting zoo with a restaurant near Shelbyville.

Ok......Another idea.

Would anyone be intrested in a tour of the makers mark distillery? That might be a fun place to pickup some items.

That sounds good. There are several distilleries around Frankfort, and some more in Bardstown if Makers Mark doesn't pan out.

I do some work for Wild Turkey (Boulevard Distillers) (although, it's been a long while since we've been out there)... I know they do tours there but, outside of that, there's really not much to do in Laurenceburg.

Good plan there 04...

I did some work on some wild turkey one time....then it worked me.

If we go to the makers mark place, I think I will just make a day of it and go on the dinner train afterwords and then stay all night down in the area.

What dates are good for everyone? The international car show by motor trend is Jan 20th weekend, and then I have a company meeting Jan 28th weekend so I can't make it on those dates.

Welcome aboard Creekdog! Good to see another 'Louisvillian' amongst us...

My work schedule is very screwy (as most of you know) so, whenever the group decides is fine with me. Odds are that I'll be there but, there's always a chance that work will snub it.
